IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2017 (CWE PO/MT VII) Are You Eligible?

The eligibility for any exam is the most important thing. The eligibility means if a person is able to appear for the exam or not. IBPS has already released the notification for PO post on 16 August 2017. The candidate must meet the requirements that the ibps po officer eligibility criteria demands. If anyone fails to meet, the candidate would be rejected.

Aspirants can apply for PO post through IBPS PO Online Application form. No other mode will be accepted. But first sure that applying candidate is eligible for the post or not.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria Details

आईबीपीएस पीओ परीक्षा पात्रता – There are certain parameters which are considered for a candidate to be eligible for the exam. For IBPS PO 2017, the nationality of the candidate, the age limit of the candidate on 01.08.2017 and educational qualification is necessary to consider.

The candidate should satisfy the nationality condition first. The condition is as follows:
The candidate must be either

  • A citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee

A person of India origin who is a migrant of Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

The candidate who belongs to other countries or is migrants should produce the certificate of eligibility which has to be issued by Indian Government. The candidates are required to consider all the above-mentioned details or points before applying for the job.

The candidate must possess a degree (graduation degree) in any discipline from the Indian Government recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.The candidate should have a valid mark sheet/ degree certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/ she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.Here department not declared any minimum ibps po eligibility graduation percentage. So only just passed candidate can also apply for ibps po exam.

The upper mentioned requirements have to be fulfilled by the candidate in order to be eligible for appearing in the examination and applying for the job. The candidate satisfying all the above-mentioned aspects could apply for the job post. The candidates not able to fulfill would be rejected and not accepted at any cost.

Calculation of Percentage in Educational Qualification

The percentage marks would be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semesters/ years by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honors/ optional/ additional subject if any.

The fraction of percentage which would be arrived after calculating the above-written process will be ignored for example if the percentage is 59.99% then it will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.

There are some age relaxation as well in the upper limit of the age which is decided by IBPS.
IBPS PO age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates – It is the first category which has the benefit of age relaxation is SC and ST and the relaxation of age is 5 years. Check – Eligibility Criteria for PWD Candidates.

The next category is OBC and enjoys the age relaxation of 3 years.
